SkipTheQ Rules
1. Eligibility for SkipTheQ
- SkipTheQ is designed for patients collecting chronic medication only.
- Stable patients, as assessed by the pharmacy team, are eligible for this service.
- Ensure that your prescription is valid and up-to-date before booking.
2. Booking an Appointment
- Bookings must be made AT LEAST 7 days BEFORE your collection date.
- This allows time to retrieve your patient folder and prepare your prescription.
- We require 2-3 days to collect all folders for a specific day from the filing department and 2 days to prepare your prescriptions.
- The remaining 2 days cover weekends, during which we are not operational.
- SkipTheQ only accepts appointments for dates that are:
- Specified on your hospital card.
- Scheduled by the hospital clinic staff. Appointments cannot be made for dates outside of these.
- If slots are full for your selected date, you cannot choose an alternative date. Please ensure you book early to avoid disappointment.
3. On the Day of Collection
- Arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time.
- Bring the following:
- Your appointment confirmation (email or WhatsApp).
- A valid ID or patient appointment card.
- If someone is collecting on your behalf, they must present their ID and a written authorization letter.
4. Appointment Rescheduling or Cancellation
- Rescheduling or cancellations must be done at least 48 hours in advance.
- Failure to attend your appointment or provide timely notice may result in suspension from the service.
5. Service Limitations
- SkipTheQ is not for consultations, new prescriptions, or urgent medication needs. Use the regular queue for these services.
- A maximum of 80 patients per day can be served via SkipTheQ.
- Patients who miss their hospital-scheduled date will not be accommodated.
6. Privacy and Data Protection
- Your personal and medical information will be handled in compliance with POPIA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
7. Feedback and Support
- If you have questions or concerns, contact our support team via the SkipTheQ website or WhatsApp.
- Your feedback is invaluable and helps us improve.
8. General Conduct
- Be respectful toward pharmacy staff and other patients.
- Any abusive behavior may result in removal from the service.
